company has won approval by the US Federal Drug
Administration (FDA) to export the company's

Julphar will invest Dh1b in
setting up 11 factories
Ras Al Khaimah: Shaikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi,
Ras Al Khaimah Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler,
said on Wednesday that the Gulf Pharmaceutical
Industries (Julphar) will increase its capital
and expand in the pharmaceutical industry by
investing Dh1 billion by setting up 11 new
factories, 7 of which will be in the UAE and the
four others will be outside the country.

Julphar achieves Dh641m in
total sales in FY 2006
RAS AL KHAIMAH — The Gulf Pharmaceutical
Industries (julphar)
has achieved Dh 641 million in total sales
during the financial year 2006 with 18 per cent
increase compared to 2005. The company's sales
to the private sector have increased by 35 per
cent during the same period. „ "This is a
substantial increase that helps to consolidate
our position as a leading pharmaceutical
manufacturer worldwide," Abulrazaq Yousif,
julphar's Managing
Director, said at the company's agents
conference.

GCC granted yesterday the Gulf Pharmaceutical
Industries (julphar)
a Dh.132 million contract to supply the GCC
